The service will take place at the clock tower in the park on Monday, November 11 to honour the Gloucester men and women who gave their lives for our freedom. And of those who returned, broken and maimed, to remember their loyalty and sacrifice.
The Gloucester community is invited to attend the Remembrance Day service at the Memorial Park Clock Tower on Monday, November 11 at 10.50am. Ex-servicemen and women, as well as serving defence force personnel may wear their medals. Relatives who possess next of kin medals of deceased members may wear them on their right side.
On Friday, November 8, the RSL Women's Auxiliary will be selling poppies from 9am. They'll be set up out front of Hannaford's real estate on the corner of Denison and Church Street, as well as walking through the main shopping district, in the MidCoast Council office and the industrial complex. RSL members will be tasked to sell them through the pubs and hotels from 4pm. Please support them.
