As smoke returned to the Gloucester valley last night (Wednesday, November 13), NSW RFS have downgraded several fires around the region.

The Bretti fire, north of Gloucester is now listed as on Advice as at 1.30am this morning (Thursday, November 14).
Reports from Bretti indicate that everything is going well and the fire is contained within the Thunderbolts Way and Baxters Ridge Trail.
There were a couple of anxious moments on Tuesday (November 12) while the region was under extreme fire danger with a couple of fires starting on the western side of the Thunderbolts Way from burning embers.
Thankfully, patrolling fire crews spotted the embers and dealt with them quickly.
On the eastern side of the fire, it's making its way toward the Tapin Tops National Park fire (Rumba Dump). The fires have burnt more than 23,700 hectares and is not yet controlled.
Firefighters continue working to establish containment lines.
The NSW RFS advise that if you are in the areas of Thunderbolts Way, Nowendoc River, Mount George, Caffreys Flat, Wherrol Flat and Appletree Flat to monitor conditions.
The Thunderbolts Way remains closed in both directions between Barrington and Nowendoc, and Nowendoc Road is closed in both directions between Nowendoc and Knorrit Flat.
Some of the schools in the region have remained closed today, being Barrington Public, Krambach Public and St Joseph's Primary.
Schools that have reopened today are Gloucester Public, Gloucester High, Stratford Public, Stroud Road Public and Stroud Public.
In regard to weather, according to the Bureau of Meteorology temperatures are due to increase on Friday (November 15) with a top of 35 degrees predicted. Saturday (November 16) and Sunday (November 17) are expected to reach a top of 31 degrees with a 70 per cent chance of rain on Sunday.
