Two fires cropped up near Stroud, south of Gloucester over the weekend, with one still burning.

The first one started late Friday afternoon (November 15) near the Stroud Hill Road intersection at the Bucketts Way, north of Stroud and the second flaring up a short while later at Johnson Creek Road, Stroud Road.
Reports indicate the first fire had dissipated by Saturday morning (November 16), while the second fire continues to burn but is being controlled according to the NSW RFS Fires Near Me site as of 3.55am Monday morning (November 18). So far it has burnt 482 hectares.
In regard to the rest of the region, according the NSW RFS the Bretti fire, north of Gloucester is being controlled as of 10.30am Monday morning, and the Live Traffic NSW site indicates the Thunderbolts Way is closed in both directions between Barrington and Nowendoc as at 6am Monday morning.
The Hillville fire, east of Krambach, which has been out of control for over a week, finally became listed as being controlled on the Fires Near Me app over the weekend. According to the NSW RFS, the fire has burnt more than 30,750 hectares as of 7.39pm on Sunday (November 17).
The NSW RFS are taking advantage of the current favourable conditions to conduct back burning and set up containment lines ahead of high temperatures predicted across the rest of the week.
The Mid Coast region is on a High fire danger rating for Monday.
The NSW RFS have reported at as of 8:30am Monday (November 18), there is 48 bush and grass fires across NSW with 21 not yet contained, with 421 homes destroyed in the past fortnight.
"Around 2000 homes have been spared. Already this fire season, six lives have been lost and 530 homes destroyed," the NSW RFS reported on Twitter.
