Around 80 people came to Allen Park on Sunday, December 1 to listen to the Stroud Crowd Choir sing a range of holiday tunes. They were joined by the students of Booral, Stroud and Stroud Road public schools. Heidi Tarrant and Melissa Dew performed a beautiful duo singing a melody of carols and the students of the Totoka Mantana Performing Arts Academy out of Booral performed a dance. There were treats on offer and Stroud Men's Shed manned the barbecue for the sausage sizzle.
According to committee president, Karen Hutchinson the event has been running for around nine years starting out at the Stroud Showgrounds. It was jointly started by Karen and Fran Carter, the founder and former director of the Stroud choir. In recent years the carols have been held at Allen Park.
