According to the Bureau of Meteorology, hot temperatures and smoke haze are forecast for the rest of Friday (December 6). Mostly sunny skies with winds west to northwesterly 15 to 25 km/h tending northeast to southeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the evening then becoming light in the late evening. Temperatures are predicted to each a top of 37 degrees. The fire danger is listed as severe.
Temperatures are expected to ease off a bit on Saturday (December 7) with possible smoke haze. Mostly sunny skies with a very slight chance of rain. Winds south to southwesterly 15 to 25 km/h turning east to southeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the afternoon. Temperatures are predicted to only reach a top of 33 degrees with a low of 16 degrees.
Partly cloudy skies are predicted for Sunday (December 8) with areas of smoke haze and a slight chance of a shower. Light winds becoming easterly 15 to 25 km/h during the day then becoming light during the evening. Temperatures are expected to reach at top of 30 degrees with a low of 15 degrees.
If you're planning to head up to the Barrington Tops, you can expect similar conditions with lower temperatures and very little chance of rain. Friday is expected to reach at top of 25 degrees; Saturday, a top of 23 degrees with a low of 11 degrees; and Sunday, a top of 22 degrees with a low of 10 degrees.
