Running until end January, this much lauded annual exhibition opened on a steamy hot night, but thankfully the waterside breezes kept things cool as the exhibition's name suggests.
Artwork this year is themed In The Wild, a topic that resonates at present.
"Our artists have really excelled in producing not just really top-quality works for this exhibition but such diversity too," GIG president, Lesly Stevenson said.
Running through the exhibition period is GIG's fundraising raffle for Wildlife In Need of Care (WINC), a not-for-profit animal rescue group in the area.
Prizes include a magnificent painting by GIG artist Emilie Tseronis and an overflowing giant gourmet hamper of delicious deli delights and an antique silver platter.
"WINC is desperate for funds during this extraordinary fire season. We encourage everyone to drop into The Gallery and buy some raffle tickets - you've got to be in it to win it," Lesly said.
Cool Summer Art Exhibition concludes January 31. It makes a great day trip, at The Gallery, 10am - 6pm six days (closed Tuesdays), 81 Marine Drive Tea Gardens. Entry is free and the venue is wheelchair-friendly.
