A one-stop community directory - MyMidCoast - will provide current information on community services and groups and MidCoast Council is inviting everyone to take part in workshops to learn how to get the best out of this helpful new tool.
The first workshop will take place at Gloucester council chambers on King Street on Monday, February 17 at 2pm.
The new directory provides up-to-date and easily-accessible information for both the local community and visitors to the area.
"We're delighted to be able to offer this directory to the Mid Coast community," council's director of Liveable Communities, Paul De Szell said.
"This service is all about user-friendly, easily accessible and up-to-date information, all in the one place."
Find information on ageing, youth and disability services, services for families and children, including playgroups, counselling, parenting, volunteering opportunities, social activities including arts and crafts groups, community gardens, health services, sporting groups and more, at www.MyMidCoast.com.au.
Information can be viewed online, and is also accessible through the mobile app 'Access My Community' that can be installed on mobile devices.
"We encourage people to come to our launches to find out how easy this tool is to use."
Other launch presentations are being held at the following council offices: Taree on Tuesday, February 18 at 9.30am and Forster on Tuesday, February 18 at 2pm.
