The school had first planned to hold its carnival on Friday, February 7, but due to the massive weather event predicted, it was postponed.
The backup date was Thursday, February 13 and when the day rolled around, the skies opened up and decided to dump more rain.
As the zone carnival was scheduled for the following week, the school needed to push on and hold the event.
First up were the big ticket competitions which determined who would be heading to the zone titles to represent the school.
With plans to get the event done and dusted as quickly as possible, each competition was run every efficiently with little time for a break.
The rain eased a little around lunch time providing enough of a reprieve for the students, staff and dedicated parental spectators to get dry and watch the relay races.
Students and staff cheered on the four swimmers from each house as they worked together as a team to win points in the four by 50 metre freestyle relay during intermittent rain periods.
Just before the buses arrived around 12.30pm to take the students back to school, they managed to hold the much anticipated Champion of Champions race which sees the seven fastest swimmers from across the day's events compete for the ultimate title.
Shortly after the race everyone worked together to get packed up. Once it was all over, the rain stopped.
The results from the carnival will be announced at the school during an assembly on Friday, February 21.
