And now, thanks to a successful funding bid, Gloucester Agricultural Horticultural and Pastoral (AH&P) Association will be able to upgrade its amenities.
According to association president, Alan Luscombe the Showground Improvement Team has been working away for the past couple of years on plans to revamp the showground.
"After discussions with the regular showground users, the feedback indicated we needed new amenities," Alan said.

So, when member for Upper Hunter, Michael Johnsen announced that the organisation will receive $338,855 dollars from the NSW Government's Stronger Country Communities Fund, Alan was elated.
Now the association can get to work on its number one priority of removing the existing amenities near the bar and replacing with a new toilet block which includes men's, women's and unisex disabled facilities.
Then the plan will be to work out where best to put the additional amenities block to include men's and women's toilets and showers, unisex disabled facilities, a baby change area and a laundry.
It's proposed to put the new building near the canteen with the possibility of incorporating the existing amenities nearby, which are relatively newer. It's hoped the work will be completed in time for the 2021 Gloucester Show.
Mr Johnsen also announced $150,000 dollars of funding for Stroud Rodeo Association for build a new horse sports arena.
To date, rounds one and two of the Stronger Country Communities Fund have funded more than 1000 projects across the State.
"We are funding grassroots projects that make a real difference to each community, and we know how important it is to support our regional towns with new infrastructure and programs," Mr Johnsen said.
