The event which began in 2017 hosts a mixture of speakers and guest panellists, bringing together representatives from the Mid North Coast community and business sector.
Ignite MNC is organised by Regional Development Australia Mid North Coast (RDAMNC) and this year's event was to be run with the support of MidCoast Council. Current plans are for the event to be rescheduled for 2021.
"Ignite MNC has successfully operated in the Mid North Coast for three years now," Kerry Grace, CEO of RDAMNC said.
"The event brings together around 170 business and community leaders in an explosion of ideas. While we are disappointed to cancel this year's event, we feel it is the best decision during these challenging times."
Stakeholders felt businesses will be rebuilding during this time and other postponed events have moved to this timing.
MidCoast Council's mayor, David West, said he is looking forward to welcoming Ignite to the Mid Coast in 2021.
"While the postponement is disappointing, it is the right thing to do, and I fully support the decision RDAMNC has made." Mayor West said.
Ignite launched in 2017 at Bowraville where Todd Sampson delivered an inspirational keynote presentation on the advantages of collaboration.
2018 saw the Bellingen community and businesses of all sizes taking up the opportunity to engage, discover and network.
The 2019 the event was held at the Slim Dusty Centre in Kempsey with a look into the future and embraced the theme of "Your World 2030".
Both organisations look forward to announcing the date and speaker list for Ignite MNC 2021.
