At one stage, the Cockies had a 20-0 lead.
It was a different story for the men's side, which went down to the Ratz 40-7.
It was a hard time for the referee to keep the whistle in his pocket, with Manning River giving away 29 penalties across the game. Gloucester was considerably more clinical with just five penalties conceded.
The Ratz have welcomed many newcomers to the squad this year, with coach Jake Maurirere telling the Manning River Times he feared they hadn't grasped the fundamentals of the game. The Cockies will take on Wauchope Thunder in round four.
