Liz Grist, from HNELHD, told Australian Community Media in March there is a serious purpose to any imposed restrictions.
"We are not doing this just because we can, it's to protect all patients and staff," Ms Grist said.
Visitors must not enter a facility if they have a cold, fever or flu-like symptoms or have been in contact with anyone who has a confirmed coronavirus case in the last fortnight.
There is COVID-19 testing available at Gloucester Medico. Please contact the staff if you are experiencing symptoms.
There are currently no cases of the virus in the area.
