According to the Bureau of Meteorology, cloudy skies and a very high chance of rain, most likely during in the afternoon and evening, are forecast for the rest of Friday (August 7). There is the chance of a thunderstorm on higher ground late in the afternoon and evening. Light winds becoming east to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the morning then tending north to northeasterly 15 to 25 km/h in the evening. Temperatures are expected to reach a top of 16 degrees.
Partly cloudy skies and a high chance of a shower or two are expected for Saturday (August 8). There is the chance of a thunderstorm in the morning and afternoon. Winds northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h tending northwest to northeasterly before dawn then tending west to northwesterly in the evening. Temperatures are expected to reach a top of 21 degrees with a low of 7 degrees.
Sunday (August 9) should see partly cloudy skies with a slight chance of a shower or two, most likely in the afternoon and evening. Winds westerly 15 to 25 km/h. Temperatures are expected to reach a top of 18 degrees with a low of 5 degrees.
If you're planning on heading to the Barrington Tops, dress warm and expect a bit of wind and rain with the chance of snow by the end of the weekend. There is a 100 per cent chance of rain developing on Friday with winds due to pick up in the afternoon and evening. Temperatures are to reach a top of 5 degrees. More rain is expected on Saturday with a top temperature of 8 degrees and a low of 3 degrees. There is a snow shower or two predicted for Sunday with a top temperature of 4 degrees and a low of 1 degree.
