Ecuador is the Country of Study for this year. Thanks to Denver Webb, who shared his experiences touring this interesting country.
In other news, our CWA rooms are now equipped with a defibrillator.
Both branches (day and evening) decided to purchase the machine seeing as our rooms are booked for various meetings and functions. We hope it never gets used.
Next month, we are asking juniors to cook. You don't have to be a member of CWA to enter.
Categories are for 18 years and under, it's butterfly cakes and for 12 years and under, it's jam drops. More information can be obtained from Erin Campbell.
Members would like to say congratulations to Erin, who has passed her jam/preservers judges badge. Erin already is a cake judge.
On Saturday October 3 of the long weekend, members will hold a Bric a Brac stall in the grounds of the CWA rooms at 108 Church St, Gloucester (opposite Woolworths).
The stall will commence at 9am to 1pm. Don't miss out. We will have cooking, books, plants and much more.
As with many other businesses, CWA is experiencing hard times as there has been no fundraising events.
Your patronage would be much appreciated.
Our next meeting will be held at the CWA rooms on Thursday, October 8 commencing at 7pm.
New members are most welcome.
