On Friday October 16, the students drew the lucky winners of the "We Love Local Monster Raffle", being the school's main fundraising event for the year due to COVID restrictions limiting earlier events.
The school's Parent and Friends committee organised the raffle to raise money for new classroom resources and playground equipment.
Thanks to the success of the raffle and to the generosity of 43 local businesses who contributed more than $4000 worth of prizes, this has now become a possibility
The COVID-safe ticket draw was managed by principal, Amy Maslen and assisted by all of the staff.
"With the students missing out on so many extra activities this year, it was a special opportunity for them to feel connected to their community, even with something so simple as drawing tickets," Ms Maslen said.
"It was a valuable reminder for them about the importance and positive impact of small communities supporting each other and how lucky we are as a small school to have received so many prizes donated and tickets bought."
The school, students and P and F committee extended wholehearted thanks to all of the participating local businesses and to everyone who purchased tickets.
The winners list will be on the school's website and Facebook page.
Congratulations to all of the lucky winners.
