Last Wednesday, Gloucester Women's Bowling Club started playing at 8.30am in order to get play finished before the temperature got too hot - it was very pleasant to play at that time of the day. The next round of the ladies Consistency Singles took place, with some of the matches ending up quite close.

Del Buckton defeated Julie Kriss (151-99), Lorraine Ratcliffe defeated Joy Hurworth (150-75), Ruth Redman defeated Jean Holstein (153-147), Jenny Burley defeated Di Pritchard (150-130), Jill Everett defeated Di Lockwood (153-107) and Joan Ridgeway defeated Vera Whatmore(158-82).
On Wednesday, October 28, there will be four matches between Ruth Redman and Del Buckton, Lorraine Ratcliffe and Jenny Burley, Joan Ridgeway and Jan Jones and Jill Everett and Judy Sheely.
There was just one social game, with Pattie West, Norma Relf and Helen Banks (swinger) defeating Cheryl West, Jenny Stevens and Helen Banks (23-7).
