The semi finals of the Gloucester Women's Bowling Club's Consistency Singles were contested last Wednesday with Joan Ridgeway defeating Judy Sheely 150-100 and Lorraine Ratcliffe defeating Ruth Redman 151-89.

The Thelma Bolton pairs resulted in victories to Jenny Burley and Vera Whatmore over Julie Kriss and Bev Germon 18-10 and Di Lockwood and Bev Murray defeating Patty West and Jill Everett 24-11.
There were two games of social bowls with Denise Redman and Norma Relf playing a 15 all draw against Penny Gibson and Jean Holstein while Jenny Stevens and Joy Hurworth defeated Helen Banks and Val Pritchard 18-10. Ruth Redman climbed up the spout to win the Spider.
The quarter finals of the Thelma Bolton pairs were played on Friday November 6 and resulted in wins for Lorraine Ratcliffe and Norma Relf (sub for Kerrie Green) narrowly defeating Ruth Redman and Val Pritchard 14-13. Colleen Atkins andJean Holstein defeated Joy Hurworth and Margaret Andrews 25-13. Jenny Burley and Vera Whatmore had an easy game defeating Di Lockwood and Bev Murray 26-9. And Joan Ridgeway and Judy Sheely defeated Jan Jones and Del Buckton 31-12.
The final of the Consistency Singles between Lorraine Ratcliffe and Joan Ridgeway will be played on Wednesday November 11 with Judy Sheely to mark and the first round of the Bonnie Hazelwood
Triples will also be played with Colleen Atkins, Val Pritchard and Jill Everett to do battle against Jenny Burley, Kerrie Green and Cheryl West, and Joy Hurworth, Patty West and Vera Whatmore to play Ruth Redman, Bev Germon and Del Buckton.
