The day was overcast and otherwise ideal for golf with temperatures on the mild and comfortable side and a slight southerly breeze most of the morning. The day was concluded with an excellent lunch immediately preceding the presentation in Tom's Bar at the Club, a lunch ably put together by David Hjorst, Ann and Ian Maggs and Bruce Fraser.
Rick Paff won with 39 pints with club captain Roy Crichton 36 clear in second spot from ball winners Tony Burnet and Denver Webb on 35, Gai Fall and Bill Murray 34 and Mark Stone and Steve Kriss 33. Nearest-to-the-Pins were won by Bob Kirkup at the 4th-13th holes and Denver Webb at the 6th-15th holes. The stayer's award went to Ian Maggs.
The day was sponsored by Steve and Joy Hurworth.
Next Tuesday (November 24), there will be an individual stroke competition associated with what is know as the treasurer's putting competition for the golfer with the least number of putts during their round.
