After the constant showers over the last few weeks our course finally got a haircut and looked absolutely spiffing on Saturday. With the course back to its pristine best and the fields slowing building to the big numbers we saw prior to Xmas the club is humming along nicely.

2021 is shaping up as a bountiful year for the club. Our generous sponsors on Saturday were Fennings Transport. Fay and Anne have been long-term supporters of our club and may it continue well into the future - much appreciated.
The scores were much higher on average - I think the fact that preferred lies are back on is bringing a smile to dials and putting points in the bank. One of our visitors from Murwillumbah scorched around to post 40 points. In the local ranks 3 players had 40 points.
Steve Williams was one of them and he pipped Nathan McInnes on a c/b. Great shooting lads - well done Steve and hard luck Nathan. Brian Osborne is currently enjoying a long run of good form and his 40 points this time around will see him edge closer to A Grade. Let's hope Dave Mann is keeping a close eye on the man we know as Hairy. In C Grade Paul Coote notched up another win with 37.
I'm not sure of the stats but it seems like Cootey wins about once a month on average - great work Paul. Ball Comp: Above winners + Chris Murray 39, Ben Veitch 38, Mark Howland 38, Stacey Groves 37. NTP A: Shane Crichton NTP B: Peter Bignell NTP C: Doug Barron. Long Drive A: Jamie Andrews. Next week's event is a single stableford with trophies kindly donated by Graeme Marsh and David Boehme. Super 7 results from this week: Winner: Mark Howland 18. Ball comp: Jim Dunn 16, D. Melton 16, Chris Murray 15 (c/b). Good golfing.
