Gloucester Showground is due to receive another chunk of State Government funding with its name on the list of the improvement projects for Crown land reserves and community facilities approved for funding.

Member for Upper Hunter, Michael Johnsen recently announced that more than $1.3 million in funding under the NSW Government's Crown Reserves Improvement Fund was coming into the region.
"It's fantastic to report $1,387,924 million has been secured for regional projects this year to maintain and upgrade local reserves as well as facilities located on them," Mr Johnsen said.
Along with 15 other projects in the electorate, the Gloucester AH&P will get $98,111 to upgrade infrastructure and improve accessibility, safety and stock handling at Gloucester Showground.
Also making the list was: $354,337 for an amenities block on Gresford Park, $211,894 for a new car park at Paterson pre-school, $192,097 for bathroom facilities at Merriwa Racecourse and Recreational Reserve, $163,594 for toilet block works at the Wallabadah Racecourse, $83,000 for a storage shed and tractor for the Moonan Flat Recreation Reserve, $50,772 for repairs and construct a new bridge at Ferntree Gully Reserve, $49,860 for a ceiling, power boost and general repairs at the Old Tea House in Gundy Recreation Ground, $33,040 to repair and upgrade the Maison Dieu Mountain Bike Track, $29,605 for a new club house and community common extension at Moonan Brook Recreation Reserve, $29,264 to control weeds on the Dungog Common Recreation Reserve, $25,754 for upgrades at the Moonan Flat Soldiers Memorial Hall, $22,100 to control wild dogs in Parish Reserve in the Murray Central Tablelands Local Land Services area, $18,282 to control weeds on vacant Crown Reserves within the Tamworth Crown lands area, $13,583 to control weeds on vacant Tamworth Crown Reserves and $12,631 to control significant weeds on Crown land in the Upper Hunter Weeds Authority Area.
