Kaitlin Perry is all smiles after smashing four school records at the Gloucester Public School Swimming Carnival.

On Friday February 5, the year 3 to 6 students took to Gloucester pool to race against the clock not only for a top spot in school but to qualify for zone.
Kaitlin was is fine form, breaking records in the 4 x 50 metre individual medley, the 11 years 50m breastroke, the 11yrs 50 metre backstroke and the 11yrs 50m butterfly.
She also qualified for the Manning PSSA Zone Swimming Carnival at Taree on Wednesday, February 17 and won the titles of Girl Champion 11 years and Champion of Champions.
She's very proud of her achievements, and although she smashed a few records for her individual ability, her favourite event was the relay.
"I got to swim it with my friends and it was a great team effort," Kaitlin said.
Her swimming prowess extends beyond school. She's a very active member of the Gloucester Thunderbolts Swim Club and is often away at competitions.
After zone, she was off to NSW Country Championship on February 20. Kaitlin will represent North Coast at the NSW Speedo Sprints Final on March 6.
She's hoping to qualify for the Hunter PSSA regional team with her eye on qualifying for the State finals, as well as making to the NSW Junior State Age Champions with all events held in March.

But the amazing efforts didn't stop there for the GPS students with 21 swimmers qualifying for zone.
Joining Kaitlin at the event were Justin Boorer, Riley Schafer, Liam Wamsley, Kyan Leu, Miller Ribbons, Max Dellsperger, Beau Laurie, Cyrus Power, Bradley Higgins, Nash Griffin, Archie Ribbons, Amelia Gruisinga, Olivia Wade, Sienna Macdonald, Jessica Marchant, Alicia Edwards, Darcy Hall, Sissy Power, Lily Sansom, and Reannah Yates.
According to Kaitlin's mother Tamara, Kaitlin had an amazing day of competition at zone and came first in all her events.
Her results also mean she's off to regional for all of her events.
