The judging of stock horses at the Show will take place on Friday March 19, commencing at 8am under the experienced eye of former local, Robert Watchirs.
A full program of led and ridden classes for the various heights and ages of horses has been scheduled and a time trial included to round out the day.
Gloucester Show usually has a very strong showing of stock horses. This year the competition is expected to be even hotter with many keen exhibitors coming from other areas to get back into show competition after having most events cancelled during the past year due to the COVID pandemic.
Entry fees are $3 for all classes with entry tickets available from the ring office on the day by using card.
The winner of the major award of Supreme Led ASH Exhibit receives the 'Radium' trophy and a lovely trophy rug. This trophy commemorates the great stallion Radium who was born near Barrington and went on to become arguably the most influential sire in the development of the stock horse breed.
Alteration to colour run at the Show
There has been a slight change to the previously announced colour run due to take place on Saturday March 20 at the Gloucester Show. A traditional colour run takes place over a distance for five kilometres, however, organisers have opted to hold a two kilometre event instead. Colour Beyond Blue In Gloucester takes place at 5.30pm.
