On the back of more than a month's worth of rain, the side was eliminated from the final series without a ball being bowled.
Understandably disappointed with the outcome, Bushmen captain Harry Clarke said the side was making good progress on the field before the wet patch hit.
"It's (the weather) always doing something on Saturdays," he laughed.
This was the second season the Bushmen contested. A major positive Harry drew from the season was getting their strongest side on the park more frequently.
"When we have our strongest side we are competitive," Harry said.
The side's last match was an eight wicket loss to Taree United at Chatham Park on January 23.
Jye Barkwill was the stand out player for the Bushmen.
He finished with the second most wickets for the competition and belted a quick fire ton against Wingham. This was the only ton for the season.
Ryan Yates was also consistent with bat and ball.
"Every player played their part," Harry said.
The Bushmen recruited well in the off-season and brought in a few players from Forster. The early indication is they'll be back next season.
Harry is confident they'll have a tilt at the premiership next season.
"We're going to focus on winning the title and be as strong as we can be," Harry said.
With the first week of the finals ruled out, Old Bar advanced to the preliminary final against Great Lakes.
Lakes was unable to face minor premiers Taree United in the grand final qualifier.
Harry tipped United and Great Lakes will meet in the decider.
"United have been the hardest to beat, they've got a lot of experience and great players," Harry said.
"Great Lakes have also been up there as well."
The grand final will be played at Chatham Park on March 13.
The final round of the third grade competition was also washed out.
Qualifying and elimination finals will be played this Saturday.
