Volunteers get together on Wednesdays in the kitchen at the Seventh Day Adventist Hall and start cooking up a storm.
By 10am the doors opened for anyone looking for a bit of social time with a side of food.
"Some of our lovely cooks have taken retirement after the year's break. A huge thanks to them all for their dedication and the wonderful job they did," Elizabeth said.
"We are blessed with a slew of new cooks who can't wait to join with the old and cook for you."
Elizabeth is thrilled to announced that the doors are set to reopen on Wednesday May 12 with lunch served from 10am until 2pm.
"So many of our clientele have been missing the delicious food we eat and the valued friendships they have made.
"We look forward to seeing you all again," she said.
Look out for the sign set up on the corner of Hume and Barrington streets.
Everyone is welcome.
The food is free.
Bring a friend. Relax.
Stop worrying for a little while.
Enjoy the food.
Every Wednesday.
