Federal Member for Lyne David Gillespie made the announcement during a visit to town in late April to a group of very appreciative Gloucester District Netball Association members.
For many who have played the sport over the years and those who continue to play, it's very obvious that the courts are in desperate need of repair and resurfacing as well as the amenities block needing a facelift.
The funding support the hundreds of local netballers by delivering new and improved facilities and surfaces.
"Gloucester netball players will soon have the confidence to move faster and attack harder, thanks to $300,000 to reseal Gloucester District Netball Association's courts," Dr Gillespie said.
"The courts are in desperate need of replacement, this old surface is crumbling, with large cracks creating trip hazards for the players," he said.
It's hoped that the work will begin before the end of the year, making the courts safer and bring them up to first-class competition standard.
Funding is being provided under the Federal Government's Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program.
