Gloucester's Dean Germon, Max Todd and Jackson Moore were selected to be part of the Manning Valley u15's representative team.
The boys have been travelling to Taree to train with their team on a Wednesday nights for the past couple of months.
Thirty teams from all over NSW and Canberra travelled to Armidale to compete in this hockey tournament. The teams took to the fields at the University of New England and the brand new field at New England Girls' School (NEGS).
Over the three days, the Manning Valley team played a total of five games.
They were very competitive, showed a lot of skill and talent, and had a win against Newcastle.
On Sunday, the boys had to fight it out for 7th or 8th position in Division two against Port Macquarie.
It was a very close game that could have gone either way. In the end, Port won 2 - nil.
Congratulations to the Manning Valley team on your team spirit and sportsmanship.
Over the championships, NSW Hockey had its scouts out watching every game.
They were looking to form the 2022 NSW u15 boys squad ahead of next year's Australian Championships. Jackson Moore has been selected in the squad.
Congratulations Jacko.
