In the end, it was quite bearable and not too bitter, although some people may not agree!
Jean Holstein's team never really got off the mark and struggled to keep up with Margaret Andrews' team. The day ended with a win for Margaret Andrews, Val Pritchard and Colleen Atkins over Jean Holstein, Judy Sheely and Di Pritchard 20-8.
Socially, there were two games played with Joan Ridgeway and Jenny Stevens defeating Jill Everett and Joy Hurworth 13-11 - and Bev Murray, Norma Relf and Ruth Redman defeating Lorraine Ratcliffe, Jan Jones and Sue Sansom (visitor) 18-5.
Both games were shortened due to the cold weather.
