A few clouds matched by some warmish weather generally set the scene nicely for some good scores on the day.
Jim and Mark headed the field home with a monster 53 points. Notwithstanding, Jim's individual 42 points winning him the trophy for best individual score, the total of 53 points must have involved some nice combination with partner Mark.
Dale Rabbett and Gail Falla, 45, were runners up with Rick Paff and Bert Newman, 44, leading the ball winners ahead of Bruce Fraser and Tony Barnet 40, with two pairs, Sally Higgins and Elaine Murray and Chris Pritchard and Gary Threadgate completing the winners on 39 points.
The best individual Stableford round went to Jim Dunn with his 42 points. Nearest-to-the-Pins were won by Roy Crichton at the 4th and 13th holes and Mike Howard at the 6th and 15th holes.
Tuesday June 15, the veterans play an Individual Stroke and Putting competition as the first of the two rounds of the Veteran Golfers Championship, sponsored by Jean and Peter Buettel.
The following Tuesday is the second round of the Veteran's Championship, another Individual Stroke event, sponsored by Joyce and Roy Crichton.
