It was another day in which the course was well ahead of the players with not a single player in a field of close to 40 anywhere near their handicap. Rick Paff put in the best net score of the day. The veteran's championship, which aggregates the players gross scores of the two days, finished up with Elaine Murray winning the women's 2021 championship and Mike Howard the men's championship. Tony Burnet and Derek Bardwell won the men's B and C Grade championships respectively.
In a day that was sponsored by Joyce and Roy Crichton, the top score in the Individual Stroke round of the day was that of Rick Paff with his net score of 74 just two over par. Two strokes back was runner up, Gary Threadgate, 76. Balls in the associated ball competition went to John herd 78, Ken Kelly, Phil Paterson, Trevor Sharp, Bob Kirkup and Elaine Murray all with a net 79; Steve Hurworth, Roy Crichton, Denver Webb and Tony Burnet snuck into the mix with net 80s. Nearest-to-the-Pins were won by Mike Howard at the 4th and 13th holes and by Sally Higgins and Chris Pritchard at the 6th and 15th holes.
Overall scores for the veteran champions saw A Grade winner Mike Howard with a gross score of 176; runner up Roy Crichton with 178. B Grade champion Tony Burnett on 193, just one stroke ahead of runner up Bruce Fraser on 194. The C Grade champion and veteran's skipper, Derek Bardwell won with 209, with runner up Phil Paterson on 212. Women's champion, Elaine Murray won with a total score of 201, comfortably ahead of runner up Dale Rabbett on 215.
On Tuesday June 29, the veteran golfers play an Individual Stableford sponsored by Judy and Keith Caldwell and on the following Tuesday there is a Four Ball Aggregate Stableford.
