George Wisemantel, Judy Sheely and Jenny Stevens, playing a swinging role for both sides, defeated Bev Murray and Steve Kriss 30-13. And Maurie Doolan, Joy Hurworth and Dianna Lockwood defeated Neville Atkins, Ken Bryant and Max Stevens 19-17.

Two games of the mixed pairs were contested on Saturday with Kevin Burley and Joan Ridgeway collecting two four pointers during the game which proved the difference defeating Terry Davies and Patty West 23-14. Mark Groves and Lorraine Ratcliffe only required 18 ends to dispose of John Andrews and Jenny Burley 27-12.

Which then saw teams fronting up for matches on Sunday, when Kevin Burley and Joan Ridgeway only conceded seven ends to Steve and Julie Kriss for a 20-8 victory.

Stephen and Joy Hurworth had the game won after eight ends with a 14-1 lead over George Wisemantel and Dianna Lockwood and continued to cruise to a 21-16 win to advance to the next round.

Bev Murray was on fire, combining with Allen Rose for an easy win over Brian and Jean Holstein 24-14. And Rob Heininger was well supported by June Carter defeating Chris and Di Pritchard 21-10.

With some games being held up due to double vaccination problems the next available matches are scheduled for this weekend so check the board for your games and the nomination sheet is on the board for the mixed fours which will commence in November.
