How to check your Service NSW app for exposure sites

The Service NSW App is now providing COVID-19 case alerts to assist with efforts in contact tracing.

The identification of exposure sites have been part of state-wide venue tracking processes, which have then be posted on NSW Health's list of venues of concern.

After it was revealed on Sunday that Wagga Wagga and Coolamon in NSW's Riverina had both recorded a new case, the Murrumbidgee Local Health District shared the news about the new alerts.

However some Wagga locations that have reportedly been identified have not been uploaded to this list.

The Daily Advertiser has contacted NSW Health about this issue. So, how do you check the app?

What is a COVID-19 case alert?

It is a red icon which appears in the COVID Safe Check-in history inside the Service NSW app if there is a positive COVID-19 case at a venue attended.

The alert will display the business name and date of the person attended there and general advice to monitor for symptoms and get tested if any appear.

How to check? 

First, make sure you have the latest update installed on your device before opening the app.

Then:

  • Log into your Service NSW app
  • Tap 'COVID Safe Check-in'
  • Tap 'History' - which shows the venue history for the past 28 days.

What do I do if I receive a COVID-19 case alert?

Click the red alert icon that provides general advice to monitor for symptoms and get tested if symptoms appear.

If you have symptoms or questions about COVID-19, customers should call the National Coronavirus Health Information Line on 1800 020 080.
