There were 22 two who vets managed to turn out with three players headed by Peter Sate with the same top stableford score.
The event was an Individual stableford sponsored by Mike Howard. The winner was Peter Sate who scored 36 points, nabbing the top spot on a count back from runner-up Roy Crichton 36, also a count back ahead of the top ball winner Ken Kelly 36; Arthur Poynting took the last ball with his 34 points. The winner of the nine hole competition was Trevor Sharp who scored an impressive 20 points.
Nearest-to-the-pins were won by Ken Kelly at the 4th and 13th holes and Arthur Poynting at the shorter 6th and 15th holes.
On Tuesday, May 17 the Gloucester veteran golfers played an individual stroke plus putting event sponsored by Dave Mann. The following Tuesday there will be an Individual stableford in place of the scheduled Veterans Week of Golf postponed to September.
