THE 2014 Gloucester and District Directory has arrived.

The directory features all the information you need on government services, local businesses, sporting clubs, emergency services, council services, maps and of course contacts for local residents.

This year’s front cover design incorporates Copeland resident Rachel Saunders' winning photograph from the 2013 Pix from the Stix (Lie of the Land category).

‘River Shimmer’ was taken on the Cobark River late in the afternoon while Rachel was returning home from work.

“I’d like to say I planned it, but the truth is I’d been taking quite a few pictures in my travels to and from work,” Ms Saunders said.

Ms Saunders worked as a professional studio photographer for 20 years before relocating to Copeland 18 months ago.

Most of her photographs are now landscapes, though she still does the occasional favour for friends.

She has been a regular entrant in the Pix from the Stix and also the Gloucester Art Trail.

Ms Saunders plans to hold an exhibition of her work at the Gloucester Gallery in 2015.
