ON Monday Gloucester will be visited by over 80 veteran golfers to participate in the, annual Veterans Week of Golf.

Visitors and competitors will be from clubs as far afield as Mollymook and Toowoomba and generally have made the week a much anticipated regular event in their golfing calendar.
The golfers have the Wednesday as a free day that will be used to rest, and enjoy the many attractions around Gloucester and give them a chance to shop, eat and drink at local establishments.
A number of the group will be visiting Copeland for a National Parks and Wildlife donated day tour.
The week is supported by the local community and the Local Veterans Golf Club who donate prizes, food and labour to make the visitors feel welcome.
The golf is a mixed event which allows the visitors to mingle and re-establish and make new friendships within the group.
The presentation dinner will be held on Thursday evening
As an "animal" themed fancy dress party at the Gloucester Country Club.
It is anticipated the evening will be attended any over 120 visitors and locals.
The week has won an extremely positive reputation thanks to the friendliness and dedication of the Gloucester community.
The Veterans Week of Golf is a major contributor to the ongoing success of the Gloucester Country Club and brings a major boost to the local tourist industry and business.
