Members of Rivercare had previously cleared the area and so armed with spades, mattocks and hand tools, the team of workers dug holes, fertilised, planted, mulched, watered and staked.
The result at the end of the day was 135 native trees and Lomandra in the ground, just in time to enjoy a good soaking of rain.
The area planted out is close to the river behind the swimming pool complex, just to the north of the caravan park.
Revegetation of this riparian site will help stabilise the bank and suppress weeds.
Members of the Gloucester community are invited to visit the spot to see what has been achieved.
