A series of games ran from 10am to 2pm in junior boys through to men.
Results ranged from an overtime thriller in the men’s game to start off the day to lopsided affairs as the visitors in the junior ranks struggled against the bigger and stronger Taree Tornadoes.
It is expected a similar challenge between the associations will be organised next year.
“The day was a great promotion of basketball and really the results didn’t matter too much,’’ Taree Basketball’s Paul Healy said.
Meanwhile in the Gloucester men’s grand final qualifier Yellow defeated Black 59-56 with B Relf leading the way for the winner with a game high 35 points.
Yellow now advance to the grand final.
In the elimination final Navy ended Maroon’s season with a comfortable 62-41 result.
Rhys Cox with 25 points was the main contributor.
