The three farm boys have come along way from being raised without electricity, running water or sewerage, so their mother could afford to buy them instruments and drive them across country to their shows.
Makirum, Tayzin and Shardyn Fahey-Leigh have clocked up six Tamworth Country Music Festivals; their first when aged 10, 11 and 12 years old, Mak was so small he could barely hold a guitar.
Oldest brother Shardyn, now 20 years old, toured with Hugh Jackman in The Boy from Oz; while, 19 year old Tayzin rehearsed three hours a day with the Australian Opera’s Children’s Chorus.
Even the youngest Mak, 18 years old, found his own fame in a McDonald's advertisement, before progressing to film, television and stage roles like his siblings.
The brothers’ love of country music saw them release four independent albums before they’d made it onto The X Factor.
Their harmonious take on country-folk won the Brothers 3 third place on the sixth season of the show.
Once free from their television commitments, they hit the road and toured extensively before signing a record deal with Warner Music Australia.
They tackled this year’s Tamworth Country Music Festival for their seventh time, with eight performances including three headline shows.
The Brothers 3 will be performing at the Gloucester Soldiers Club on Friday, April 7 at 8pm. Tickets are $20 per adult and $10 per child and are available at the club.
