Ashwood Devons top at $9500

Ashwood Devons 2017 sale was another successful event following recent successes in the show ring at the Brisbane RNA. Eight bulls sold with the top priced bull, Ashwood Lachlan, bringing $9,500  The average price for the bulls was $5,900.

Three lovely Ashwood heifers, joined with the 2015 and 2016 Grand Champion Ekka bull Ashwood Knockout, sold at an average price of $2,300.

A cool, slightly damp day led to a later start for most, with old faces and new faces, repeat buyers and new buyers from coastal areas and from over the range.​

Guest Speaker Damon Holmes (Operations Manager, National Livestock Reporting Service, MLA) set the scene in relation to current conditions for marketing cattle and what will influence the marketing of cattle both domestically and internationally in the near future.

Ashwood thanks all those who attended and those who expressed interest. One more bull has been sold since the sale but there are still a couple available including the majestic Ashwood Larry who unfortunately was indisposed on the day of the sale but has fully recovered since.
