Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) has announced Gloucester’s Trudy Schultz as Football Mid North Coast’s Newcastle Permanent Volunteer of the Month for August 2017.

Trudy was nominated by Gloucester Soccer Club for her ongoing commitment and dedication to football over 10 years of service.

“Clubs simply cannot run without the contribution of people like Trudy,” NNSWF community football manager, Peter Haynes commented.

“Trudy’s ongoing contribution to Gloucester Soccer Club has been outstanding and should be celebrated,” he said.

“Gloucester Soccer Club is a better football club for the contribution Trudy has made through her passion, hard work and willingness to ‘roll the sleeves up’ and help to provide the best football experience possible for Gloucester’s players, parents and spectators alike,” Mr Haynes concluded.

Newcastle Permanent Taree branch manager, Kayla Yates congratulated Trudy on becoming the recipient of the Newcastle Permanent Volunteer of the Month Award.

“Newcastle Permanent’s Community Football partnership provides opportunities to recognise volunteers who give back so much to their clubs and communities,” Ms Yates said.

“It is great to see a local being recognised for their ongoing commitment,” she said.

Trudy will receive a volunteer jacket and bag courtesy of Newcastle Permanent to assist them in continuing to fulfil their valuable role at the club.

Newcastle Permanent is the major partner of Community Football across Northern NSW and has partnered with NNSWF since 2008, supporting the High-Performance Program and Junior Football Program.

Integral to the partnership is recognition of volunteers, coaches, referees and others on the ground who play a vital role in delivering the game across Northern NSW.

The Community Partnership with Newcastle Permanent includes recognition programs such as Newcastle Permanent Volunteer of the Month, Newcastle Permanent Community Coach of the Month, Newcastle Permanent Referee of the Month, Newcastle Permanent Community Club of the Year, training tools for community coaches and volunteers, as well as the distribution of more than 9000 free footballs to young players each year.
