Save the date for pink October

October is the pink month to recognise Breast Cancer.

Keep the date free to attend the Pink Ribbon Breakfast on Tuesday, October 24 from 7:30am to 10am for $10 at the Country Women’s Association (CWA) rooms. The CWA Evening Branch has started organising this great morning, all welcome.

Plenty of Monte Carlo biscuits entries last meeting; congratulations to Bruce Tester 1st (you don’t have to be a CWA member to enter), 2nd was Bruce’s wife, Sheryl and 3rd Rhonda Merchant. For October, we are asked to bake a sultana cake using 500 grams of sultanas in a 20 centimetre round or square tin.

Recently some members and partners went to Bobs (barramundi) Farm. What a great day it. All enjoyed a tour, a delicious fish lunch and met owner, Nick Arena, winner of the 2016 NSW Farmer of the Year.

A $100 donation has been made to Gloucester Primary School choir, who entertained members and visitors on our recent International Day, for music sheets, music stands or any way to assist these talented students.

Next meeting of CWA Evening Branch will be held at the CWA rooms on Thursday, October 12 at 7pm with the Annual General Meeting (AGM), new members most welcome.
