A man has been charged after allegedly leaving the scene of a fatal crash near Bulahdelah earlier this month.

Emergency services were called to Wootton Way at Wootton, about 20km north of Bulahdelah, about 6am on Sunday, October 15, 2017, after a car left the road and hit a tree.
The passenger, a 37-year-old man, died at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle allegedly fled the scene before police arrived.
Officers from Lake Macquarie Local Area Command commenced inquiries into the crash and conducted extensive searches for the driver.
Following inquiries, police stopped a vehicle on The Esplanade at Warners Bay just after 7pm Saturday, October 28.
The 39-year-old driver was arrested and taken to Belmont Police Station where he was charged with three offences:
• Dangerous driving occasioning death – drive manner dangerous;
• Fail to stop and assist after impact causing death; and
• Negligent driving (occasioning death).
The Wootton man was bail refused to appear at Newcastle Bail Court today Sunday, October 29.
