President Brett Ashton said all nine clay courts would be resurfaced in time for the club’s annual Easter tournament.
Mr Ashton said the club hoped to spend about $20,000 on the project, well down on the $50,000 it was initially quoted.
He said surfaces had been harrowed in preparation for the resurfacing, which should last up to five or six years.
“That was probably the last time it was done and only about five tonne of clay was dumped on each court,” he said.
“We’ve been able to get a lot more clay for each court this time around, which should tide us over well.”
Mr Ashton said the courts would be laser levelled and would need to be rolled several times before matches could be played.
