Manager John Parish said last season was the best in his seven years at the pool.
The pool and swimming club both celebrated their 50th anniversaries in 2013.
“It’s been a great year. Probably our best ever in terms of patronage,” he said.
“The rivers were low, which always helps us, and the weather’s been kind.
“We had more than 200 children involved in Learn to Swim this year and that’s also been a big part of it.
“I put that success down to the quality and experience of our AustSwim accredited teachers.”
Mr Parish said swimming lessons would continue throughout the cooler months in the hydrotherapy pool.
“Sue Kingston will also continue working with squad members so they maintain their condition through winter,” he said.
He said high running costs and lifeguard requirements were the largest challenges facing the pool.
“We’ve slowly been looking at improving the pool with small changes. We put in the new shade area and water feature in the little pool and purchased some water mats and new banana chairs which have all been popular,” he said.
“And we’re looking at some bigger changes next season if we can get council approval and some grant funding.”
