The Gloucester Sports Council received dozens of nominations for the awards from sporting clubs across the district.
This year there will be three sports stars inducted into the Gloucester Sporting Hall of Fame.
Husband and wife Gwen and Allan MacClure will be inducted for their success in the sport of target shooting, while former Gloucester Magpie Neville ‘Ross’ Johnson will also be inducted.
Five Local Legends will also be recognised on the awards night: Frank Gerrard in target shooting, Fay Westley in tennis, Toby Wilson in hockey, Lorna Taylor in golf and Les ‘Bruno’ Mills in boxing.
Tickets for the awards night are on sale at Furniture One until April 24.
The 2013 nominees are:
- Umpire: Netball - Kylie Johnson
- Coach: Netball - Kate Radford; Hockey - Bruce Snape; Pony Club - Margaret Wilson.
-Team: Netball - Pink Team; Bowls - Club Pairs; Soccer - Barrington Public School.
- Sporting Event of the Year: Pony Club - Zone 25 Presentation.
- Club Administrator: Netball - Cherylene Carter; Soccer - Karen Yates; Pony Club - Brett Howard.
- Veteran: Bowls - Col Hebblewhite.
- Senior: Netball - Hadiah Virzi-Hartigan; Bowls - Nathan Butler; Little Athletics - Daniel Hughes; Pony Club - Macaela Harris.
- Junior: Netball - Ellie Schumann; Tennis - Lleyton Richards; Little Athletics - Kieran Schneider; Little Athletics - Harrison Clarke; Little Athletics - Andrew Hughes; Little Athletics - Kenneth Wamsley; Pony Club - Jodie Harris; Pony Club - Joshua Howard; Pony Club - Callum Howard; Pony Club - Lachlan Howard.
