Police searching bushland in the Port Stephens area have located a body, believed to be that of the missing 43-year-old.
Officers had been searching for the man who was last seen about 11.30am on Monday, June 23 at a home in Allworth.
The man's family reported him missing the next day.
More than 30 police converged on the small community south of Booral on Wednesday to search for the missing man.
The search was suspended but resumed this morning (Thursday).
The body was found about 11am today, June 26 approximately 5km from where the man had gone missing.
The man’s death does not appear to be suspicious.
Police will investigate the death and prepare a report for the information of the Coroner.
