The conditions were dry with the grounds very slippery.
Several attempts at goals went astray. If the Cockies can keep this momentum going they will be a forced to be reckoned with.
Coming off this strong win against The Clams, Coach Parkin has a good foundation to build from to go forward.
It was great to see the strength of the Gloucester Cockies forwards dominating a very big Clams pack allowing for freedom of our back line to score some good tries.
The final score being 60-7.
With the Cockies playing their game after the Gloucester Magpies accounted for Swansea in a tough match 20-10.
This made for a great afternoon of football at Gloucester Park.
The initiative shown by the two committees to combine the codes was a great success and would be hoped to be a regular event.
Currently sitting in 3rd position the Cockies now have a fortnight rest before playing Myall Lakes at Tea Gardens.
With a few niggling injuries the timing of the bye and long weekend break gives some of the main players time to recover and prepare themselves for the run into the semis.
