The two winners of the Three Day Event have been attending for a number of years, and put in some excellent scores this year.
Allan Crittenden from Hawkes Nest Golf Club won the men’s 54 hole three-day event off a handicap of 25.
He has been playing at Gloucester for six years and has enjoyed each one. He finds it very competitive, and the friendship extended to all clubs is exceptional.
He succeeded with 32, 35 and 38 stableford points over the 18 holes each day.
Allan wants to offer his appreciation to all business people who donated prizes, of which he believes there are over 100.
Marlene Brown hails from Kew Country Club, and has been attending Gloucester’s Veterans Carnival for nine years. She has enjoyed the golf, but also the company and social side of things.
She loves the way the carnival is run – so easy-going and friendly – and she has never heard any complaints.
She always looks forward to catching up with old friends and new faces. Marlene plays off a handicap of 19, and her scores for each day were 28, 34 and 28.
Allan and Marlene each won a night’s accommodation for two at the Gloucester Country Club Motel, four games of golf with a cart, and $200 at the Bistro.
