MORE than 100 family and friends gathered to support five young women as they made their debut into society at St. Paul’s Anglican Church Debutante Ball last Saturday at the Gloucester Soldiers Club Auditorium.

The debutantes were presented to Archdeacon Stephen Pullin and his wife, Reverend Robyn Pullin from Newcastle.
Archdeacon Stephen commented he had been a partner himself many years ago and congratulated the debutantes and their partners and complimented them on their achievements.
The debutantes were assisted by flower girls Hayley Ruysh, Tallulah Nixon, Lucy Corbett, Olivia Corbett, Charlie Carruthers and Shelby Foot. The flower girls all looked gorgeous in their white sleeveless princess style satin dresses with ankle length gathered tulle skirts and dark blue sashes with silver shoes and tiaras in their hair.
Layne Ross chose a white drop waisted gown with a fitted and beaded lace and satin bodice, tulle straps and a tulle skirt which was also trimmed with lace. Layne was partnered by Alex Bratfield.
Madeline Stokes wore a fitted ivory corset-tied lace gown with capped lace sleeves and a full mermaid tulle skirt.
Madeline was partnered by Jackson Davis Kate Radford chose a white A-line princess corset tied chiffon dress with rouched bodice, beaded straps and a beaded panel under the bodice. Kate was partnered by Jack Wilson.
Hannah Yates wore a pearl satin A-line dress with rouched bodice, sequined and beaded shoulder straps and a sequined and beaded feature panel under the bodice. Hannah was partnered by Reece Bowden.
Madalyn Foot chose a white halter neck fitted and corset-tied gown with sweetheart neck line, embroidered with lace and beading on the bodice and the hem. Madalyn was partnered by Craig Murray.
The debutantes and flower girls carried bouquets of white silk hydrangeas. The partners looked very handsome in their black suits with royal blue ties.
Matron of honour, Mrs Shirley Patmore, chose a long royal blue chiffon full length dress and three-quarter sleeve bolero jacket.
The dress featured a sweetheart neckline, with a rouched panel across the bodice which was caught at the waist with a silver clasp and fell softly down the left side of the dress.
The debutantes and their partners set the scene for the rest of the evening by dancing the Swing Waltz to the enjoyable music of Country Dance Revival.
