The Sharks' strong defence kept the Panthers away from any decent scoring opportunities for much of the first half. Late in this half the Sharks converted a goal to lead into the second half. During the break, the Panthers were able to regroup and change tact in defensive strategies.
Jack Davis managed to get his stick to the ball right near the goal and even up the score for the Panthers. The game still remained tight until 10 minutes to full time that a break created by Trevor Bolton allowed Alex Bell to get off a great pass to Dave Keen who played around the keeper to convert the Panthers' second goal.
The final score of 2-1 puts the Panthers in a commanding position at the top of their division as they near half way through the comp.
