The Barrington Art Gallery and Studio held their grand opening and the Gloucester Gallery hosted the opening of the Pix From The Stix photography competition.
Bringing the Barrington community together was the inspiration and motivation behind the opening of the gallery. Deb Walker and resident artist Nikki Barchard celebrated the transformation of the former beauty salon into a beautiful display of art, along with their guests.
Ms Barchard says the gallery has a outdoor courtyard open for the public to use as a meeting place for a gold coin donation, with funds raised going to local charity.
Many of the same attendees made their way over the the Gloucester Gallery to support the 16th annual Pix From The Stix opening.
Winners of the competition, decided by former Gloucester resident and professional photographer, Ben Howland, were announced on the evening.
He chose from 36 photos across five categories from 21 photographers without knowing who took the photos.
